Pre-Care
For optimal results after your brow treatment, it’s essential to strictly follow these instructions. Please keep in mind that the healing process may vary from person to person, both in terms of duration and the specific changes that occur during recovery. Generally, the healing process takes about 7-14 days.
DAILY CARE (until brows fully heal)
Apply a THIN layer of ointment 2-3 times a day after 48 hours until the procedure area has healed. Please wash your hands before applying the product. If you experience excessive itching, swelling or any blistering please stop the usage of your ointments and contact your technician immediately. You may be allergic to the aftercare product.
Keep your brows dry and avoid getting them wet during the healing process. Please do not cleanse directly on the brows during the first week. Do not splash wash your face. Try to avoid getting your brows wet when you are showering. You can apply a thick layer of vaseline on your brows when you are showering and after, gently wipe off completely and apply a thin layer of the ointment.
Use a gentle facial cleanser to cleanse your skin. Preferably one that doesn’t contain AHA , glycolic, lactic acids , or Retin A products as they will fade the pigmentation.
Please allow for the brows to naturally flake. It is also normal to experience itching. DO NOT PEEL, PICK, or RUB the enhancement as this will make it heal uneven and may cause infection.
No make-up or skin care products should be applied close to your brows until the brows are completely healed, same goes for tinting eyelashes or brows. Please also avoid any products that contain Aloe vera or Vitamin E at this time.
Refrain from working out for a week post procedure. Sweat has saline that removes pigment during the healing process.
AVOID FOR 2 WEEKS
Please avoid having direct sunlight on your brows. No tanning treatments, jacuzzis, saunas, salt water, chlorine, or recreational bodies of water. Do not tint, wax, or do peels, electrolysis, or laser hair removal treatments around the treated area.
LONG TERM CARE
The sun can damage and fade your brows so take care of your brows by investing in a good sunscreen.
Annual touch ups are recommended to maintain color integrity.
WHAT TO EXPECT DURING HEALING PROCESS (estimated timeline)
Day 1-3: Brows look darker, thicker (swollen) and sensitive. Don't worry, the color will fade over the next week.
Day 4-7: Brows will begin to scab/flake and patchy. Do not panic! It is a part of the process!
Day 8-14: Brows are completely peeled & color seem very faint/light.
Day 15-35: Color comes back, starts to resurface and darken. As this point, you can decide if any adjustments need to be made to your brows.
